DESCRIPTION:This workshop is part of a series and takes place over multiple weekends – see below: \n\n\n\n\nApril 18 (10am-12pm) – Drawing Songbirds at Morris Arboretum (Part 1)\n\n\n\nMay 23 (10am – 12pm) – Drawing Raptors at Morris Arboretum (Part 2)\n\n\n\nJune 20 (10am – 12pm) – Drawing Waterfowl at Morris Arboretum (Part 3)\n\n\n\n\nLearn how to draw the songbirds in your backyard in this workshop taught by naturalist and wildlife illustrator Jack Hobe! We start with tricks for capturing birds on paper before they fly away\, using posture\, proportions and angles\, then take a look at ways to simplify birds’ feathers\, wings\, tails and feet. Passerines can be challenging and feisty subjects to draw\, but Jack’s passion for birding\, nature sketching and journaling will help attendees to demystify feather patterns\, movements\, form and behavior. No art or drawing experience required—all skill levels are welcome!
