Below are details about my workshops to help you plan an event for your organization or group. Please browse the points carefully for program specifics and how to register an event for your group. Contact me using this form if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you!

General Workshop Details:
- Duration: Variable, 1.5 hours minimum, 2 hours suggested
- If possible, art and birding supplies should be brought by attendees or provided by the hosting organization. Jack has a few extra supplies available if needed. A list of required supplies will be sent to the event coordinator after scheduling.
- Suggested number of participants: 10-20
- Location: I am available to present in-person for your organization located in the Greater Philadelphia area, or remotely through Zoom.
- Availability: I generally teach programs on Saturdays due to my other commitments throughout the week, but may be available on select weekdays. Please contact me with the dates you have in mind and I will let you know my availability for that specific time frame. New workshop partners are encouraged to reach out early in the year (Jan-Feb) to schedule a workshop for the upcoming year since my schedule fills up fast and I require several months of advance notice to set up a program.
- My programs are ideal for: nature centers, zoos, nature sanctuaries, wildlife preserves, national parks, state parks, native plant centers, arboretums, homeschool groups, churches, senior centers, and birding groups. My programs are adaptable to your group’s needs and schedule. Workshop content is targeted towards teens, adults and seniors.
- I have several standard workshops available to be presented. Unfortunately I am not developing any new or custom workshop topics at this time. Existing workshops that I can present include:
- How to Draw Songbirds
- Field Sketching for Birders
- How to Draw Raptors
- How to Draw Owls
- How to Draw Vultures
- How to Draw Waterfowl
- Drawing Wildflowers
- Introduction to Watercolors for Field Sketching
- Introduction to Nature Journaling
- Suggested instructor fee is $200 for a 1.5-hour workshop or $250 for 2 hours, assuming a class size of 5 -15 participants. This fee is negotiable depending on the organization’s budget and desired workshop length. An additional per-person fee may be added if the hosting organization wishes to increase registration capacity beyond 15 people. I have also used revenue split systems in the past (e.g. splitting class revenue 60/40 or 50/50) depending on the organization’s budget or preferences – please let me know if you would like to discuss this option. I may also include travel expenses (mileage) in the fee if travel distance to venue is longer than 1 hour.
- Rescheduling/Cancellation: I require notification a minimum of 1 week prior to the workshop date if you would like to reschedule or cancel.
If you would like to schedule a workshop, please contact me using the contact form below with specifics on your location, potential dates, times, number of people who will be attending, age range, and any other information you would like to provide.
